Embedded Advisory & AI Assurance

Senior architecture advice and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption assurance as decisions move into practice.

Who it is for

This offer is for organisations that need recurring senior architecture advice and an independent check on adoption decisions, but do not need a full-time hire.

The problem

Architecture decisions, supplier proposals and trials can keep arriving after the first review. Without clear evaluation criteria and accountable owners, supplier claims can go untested and the next decision can become unclear.

What happens

Rory works alongside the people responsible for the platform to record decisions, agree evaluation criteria and identify an accountable owner. He reviews supplier claims against available evidence, checks whether adoption is working in practice, and makes clear which choices remain reversible. Support can follow a Discovery Review or begin when the direction is already known.

What you leave with

  • A regular senior view of the architecture, held by someone who has seen the previous decisions and does not need re-briefing each time.
  • Decision records that are easier to act on: what was decided, who owns it, what it depends on and what would justify revisiting it.
  • Adoption checks before activity becomes harder to reverse, at the point where the choice is still cheap: whether the change is being used as intended, whether the evidence supports continuing and which options remain open.

What MDE needs from you

Visibility of the decisions as they arrive, rather than after they are made. The value of a standing advisory arrangement is being asked before the commitment, and it drops sharply when the engagement becomes a review of things already signed.

When this is not the right step

If you have a single decision in front of you, a Discovery Review is a better fit than an ongoing arrangement. This is for organisations where the decisions keep coming.

If you need someone accountable for day-to-day platform operations, that is an internal role or a managed service, not advisory. MDE is explicit about the difference: this is senior judgement on the decisions, not an on-call function.

Our approach

How we partner

Each step is transparent, evidence-first and limited to what you actually need.
  1. Compass illustration

Step 1 Review goals and systems

Review the goals, current systems, constraints and owners so the work targets the real problem.
  2. Blueprint illustration

    Step 2 Design the path

Set out the options, the evidence behind them and the acceptance checks, then agree the next practical step.
  3. Rocket launching illustration

    Step 3 Deliver & evolve

Where delivery follows, move in small, agreed increments, keep the evidence visible, and hand over so your team can sustain it.
